Jon grew up on the family farm near Hartington, Nebraska. Some of his best memories came from life on the farm. While in high school, a good friend, who was in a severe car accident, made the suggestion after going through extensive Physical Therapy, "Jon, you should become a Physical Therapist." Jon took those words to heart. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. After a year of practice in Hastings, Nebraska, Jon and his wife, Kim, moved to North Platte in 1982. Raising three children in North Platte, Nathan, Danielle and Brianna, has been his most rewarding experience. He loves doing yard work and teaching the exercise class at the Senior Center. He is a member of the Geriatrics Section and Aquatic Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. He was past president of the Western District of the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association.
